Summary:

We currently have a great opportunity to join Talman Consultants. as a GIS Support Associate (Temp). In this role you will collaborate with our Sr. GIS Specialist, Senior Project Managers, and Project Managers assigned to working with a specific client. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated with a strong work ethic, able to work alone for majority of their workday, be detail oriented and able to assess/correct errors in their own work before submitting.


Tasks:

  • Upholds Talman Consultant's culture and values.
  • Reference engineering and/or construction drawings and other data sets to accurately draw cable and conduit routes into GIS and fill out required fields.
  • Ensure accuracy of existing features that are in GIS.
  • Applies knowledge and understanding of AutoCAD to create files based on routes drawn in GIS.
  • Use internal and external tracker to be able to follow workflow process.

Requirements

Experience Required:

This role typically requires a minimum of 1 year telecom, engineering, and/or construction industry experience in an office environment. A demonstrated ability to accomplish multiple tasks at one time.


Specific Skills Include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Geography, Business Administration, or Engineering preferred
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD preferred
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders from all levels of each organization.


The expected hourly pay range for this position is between $22 and $35. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
