Job description

Join our team as a GIS Commercial Software Developer, where youโ€™ll play a hands-on role in delivering innovative geospatial solutions that power modern utility systems. At ENTRUST Solutions Group, weโ€™re proud to be an industry leader in engineering and consulting servicesโ€”helping modernize, protect, and strengthen critical infrastructure. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex data challenges, building scalable GIS systems, and seeing their work directly support critical field and engineering operations.

Weโ€™re seeking a GIS professional with strong experience in the Esri platform, Python development, and enterprise system integration to support the design, development, and implementation of scalable geospatial solutions for utility clients. In this role, youโ€™ll develop and maintain GIS-based applications using ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Online, while building custom services, tools, and APIs that support enterprise workflows across electric, gas, water, and other infrastructure systems. Youโ€™ll also support field operations by designing and configuring ArcGIS Field Maps solutions and mobile data collection workflows that improve efficiency, visibility, and data accuracy.

In addition to application development, youโ€™ll play a critical role in automation, data integration, and system optimization by building reusable Python-based tools using ArcPy and the ArcGIS API for Python. Youโ€™ll help implement and optimize ETL pipelines, automate QA/QC workflows, and support data conflation and spatial processing efforts to align and reconcile complex datasets. Your work will also involve supporting enterprise GIS architecture, managing RESTful services and APIs, and integrating GIS solutions with systems such as asset management, work management, and analytics platforms. Collaborating closely with engineers, project managers, and client stakeholders, youโ€™ll translate business needs into practical technical solutions that are scalable, maintainable, and reliable.

This role is designated as remote, giving you the flexibility to primarily work from home while staying actively connected to your team and projects. We value collaboration and responsiveness, so we ask our remote team members to be available when in-office presence is neededโ€”such as for client meetings, team events, training sessions, or field-related project support.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in GIS, Geography, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in GIS development or geospatial software development
  • Proficiency in Python scripting and geospatial libraries such as ArcPy and ArcGIS API for Python
  • Experience with ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, and geodatabase management
  • Experience developing or supporting GIS applications, services, or APIs
  • Familiarity with data modeling, versioning, and spatial data management
  • Understanding of system integration concepts, including APIs and data exchange frameworks
  • Working knowledge of ETL processes and automation workflows

What We Offer:

  • A supportive and inclusive work environment that values diversity and encourages innovation.
  • Opportunities for professional growth and career development.
  • Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package, including generous paid time off, 401(k) with company match, tuition reimbursement, and flexible work schedules.
  • This position pays between $70,700 to $95,700 annually and is an exempt position. Benefits offered include company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) plan with company match. Also offered are tuition reimbursement, voluntary life, disability, critical illness, accident and hospitalization plans. HSA or FSA medical accounts and FSA dependent care and transportation/parking accounts are also available. These benefits are subject to employee contribution amounts generally set annually. Full-time employees are eligible to earn PTO hours. May be eligible for discretionary bonus as determined by the company.
