What are gifting specialists?

Gifting specialists are professionals who help individuals and organizations select, source, and deliver gifts for various occasions. They provide expert advice on suitable gifts, manage logistics, and often coordinate personalized or bulk gifting solutions for events, corporate functions, or holidays. Their role may also involve budgeting, vendor management, and ensuring gifts align with the recipient's preferences or company branding. Gifting specialists work in retail, corporate settings, or as independent consultants.

What are some common challenges faced by professionals working in corporate gifting roles, and how can they be addressed?

Professionals in corporate gifting often face challenges such as selecting appropriate gifts that align with company branding, managing budgets, and accommodating diverse recipient preferences. Balancing creativity with practicality and ensuring timely delivery, especially during peak seasons, can also be demanding. Success in this role relies on strong vendor relationships, excellent organizational skills, and staying current with gifting trends. Collaborating closely with marketing, procurement, and client relations teams helps ensure the gifting strategy supports broader business goals.

Excellent communication, attention to detail, and a flair for personalization help someone excel in this role. These skills ensure customers receive thoughtful, well-executed gifts that enhance customer satisfaction and drive repeat business.

Summary

Weโ€™re looking for a Gifting Experience Account Manager who brings together strong client instincts, thoughtful strategy, and disciplined follow-through.

This role sits at the intersection of relationship management, creative problem solving, and operational execution. Youโ€™ll partner closely with clients to understand what theyโ€™re really trying to achieve; then translate that into gifting solutions that are not just products, but part of a broader, experience-driven strategy, often brought to life through onsite environments and immersive gifting activations.

The right person is a strong listener first. Someone who can read between the lines, shape a clear point of view, and guide clients toward solutions that feel intentional, elevated, and well-executed. Just as important; you know how to take an idea and see it all the way through, managing details without losing sight of the bigger picture.

What youโ€™ll own

Client partnership & strategy

  • Build a deep understanding of each clientโ€™s brand, audience, and objectives
  • Lead discovery conversations and guide clients toward clear, thoughtful gifting strategies
  • Act as a trusted partner; someone clients rely on for both perspective and follow-through
  • Present ideas confidently and clearly, both virtually and in person
  • Strengthen relationships over time, contributing to long-term account growth

Gifting strategy & execution

  • Translate client needs into creative, experience-aligned gifting solutions
  • Lead sourcing efforts across a wide range of products, including opportunities to support onsite experiential gifting environments (e.g., gifting suites, curated displays, or in-event moments) when part of the broader program
  • Contribute to how gifting comes to life within a space; considering product mix, presentation, and overall guest experience where applicable
  • Partner with internal teams and vendor network to develop cohesive, well-considered proposals that account for both creative vision and executional feasibility
  • Guide clients through selection, pricing, and approvals with confidence and clarity
  • Ensure the gifting component aligns to the larger experience or program it supports, whether standalone or integrated into an event
  • Bring a point of view on product, trends, and creative direction; grounded in what will work for the client

Project leadership & delivery

  • Own projects from initial concept through final execution
  • Manage timelines, budgets, and all moving pieces with a high level of organization
  • Drive clear, proactive communication throughout the lifecycle
  • Partner closely with vendors to ensure quality, accuracy, and on-time delivery
  • Problem-solve in real time and navigate challenges with a calm, solutions-oriented approach

What makes someone successful here

  • Youโ€™re a strong listener; you ask the right questions and pick up on whatโ€™s not being said
  • You bring a strategic lens, not just execution; you connect ideas back to client goals
  • Youโ€™re able to take a concept and drive it through to completion with consistency and detail
  • Youโ€™re comfortable managing multiple complex projects without losing organization or quality
  • You show up with a polished, credible presence; clients trust you and feel confident in your guidance
  • You balance creative thinking with disciplined execution
  • Youโ€™re collaborative, adaptable, and motivated to figure things out

What youโ€™ll bring

  • 6+ years in a client-facing role within gifting, promotional products, or a related space
  • 2+ years leading gifting product programs end-to-end, from strategy and sourcing through execution
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, vendors, and multiple concurrent projects
  • Strong communication skills; clear, concise, and persuasive
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment with shifting priorities
  • Natural curiosity and awareness of trends within gifting, product, and brand experience

Additional details

  • Travel approximately 20% (onsite programs, long days/light lifting)
  • Participate in team brainstorms, department meetings, and industry events as needed
