Kenworth Sales Co. is looking for a Rental Sales Representative to join our Boise, ID team Earn $65k DOE + monthly commissions!

RENTAL SALES REPRESENTATIVE JOB SUMMARY:
The primary function of the Rental Sales Representative is to effectively manage customer relationships while ensuring our rental process runs smoothly-from check-in to check-out. We're seeking the ideal candidate to help expand our commercial truck rental business.
RENTAL SALES REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop, coordinate, and execute sales programs designed to maximize fleet utilization and grow revenue.
  • Prospect and acquire new rental customers through cold calling, walk-ins, referrals, and local networking.
  • Manage existing customer accounts to maintain strong relationships and gain insight into industry and equipment needs.
  • Prepare rental agreements, quote, and collaborate with operations to confirm vehicle availability.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor offerings to identify new business opportunities.
  • Deliver weekly performance updates, including call logs and customer interactions.
  • Conduct thorough pre and post-rental inspections to document conditions and identify potential damage.
  • Support fleet readiness by completing daily yard checks and ensuring units are clean and presentable.
  • Report and document any damage, maintenance needs, or necessary repairs.
  • Partner with the service manager to schedule repairs and maintain DOT compliance.
  • Consistently represent the company with professionalism and integrity.


RENTAL SALES REPRESENTATIVE QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Highly organized with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Self-motivated with a positive attitude and team-player mindset. Professional personal appearance is necessary, excellent communication, and organizational skills.


WORKING CONDITIONS:
The Rental coordinator works indoors and outdoors, primarily as a sales function. S/he must have transportation to perform sales calls in the marketplace. S/he will also move about the dealership facility to communicate with the dealer managers, employees, and customers. Excellent communication skills are required. This job requires you to climb in and out of trucks regularly. S/he must bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach and feel. Will be exposed to noise, vibration, dust, paint, and other hazardous and nonhazardous materials. Must also spend extensive periods at a desk, reviewing detailed computer printouts, inputting data on a Video Display Monitor, filing, placing, and receiving telephone calls, and maintaining information systems.
