General Engineering Support โ€“ MQ-9 FMS Taiwan Program

Position Summary

Sumaria Systems is seeking a General Engineering Support Engineer to support the MQ-9 Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Taiwan Program at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. The selected candidate will provide engineering, technical, integration, test, acquisition, and sustainment support for advanced weapon systems, remotely piloted aircraft (RPA) platforms, associated payloads, sensors, and ground control systems throughout the system lifecycle. This position offers the opportunity to work alongside Government engineers, program managers, and industry partners supporting the development, modernization, integration, testing, and sustainment of mission-critical Air Force and international partner capabilities.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

โ€ข Provide engineering support for the MQ-9 FMS Taiwan Program and associated aircraft, sensors, payloads, and ground control systems.
โ€ข Analyze operational requirements and evaluate technical solutions supporting system development, integration, testing, sustainment, and modernization efforts.
โ€ข Prepare and review engineering analyses, technical reports, requirements documentation, specifications, and acquisition documentation.
โ€ข Support systems engineering, integration, configuration management, quality assurance, and lifecycle sustainment activities.
โ€ข Participate in technical reviews, design reviews, test readiness reviews, safety review boards, and integrated product team meetings.
โ€ข Support laboratory, ground, and flight test planning, execution, analysis, and reporting activities.
โ€ข Evaluate contractor technical proposals, engineering changes, and technical documentation for completeness and accuracy.
โ€ข Support Foreign Military Sales (FMS) activities, customer coordination, and international partner requirements.
โ€ข Assess system performance, reliability, maintainability, supportability, and airworthiness considerations.
โ€ข Collaborate with Government and contractor personnel to resolve technical challenges and support program objectives.

Required Qualifications

โ€ข Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related technical field.
โ€ข Experience supporting Department of Defense acquisition, engineering, test, integration, or sustainment programs.
โ€ข Knowledge of systems engineering principles and weapon system lifecycle processes.
โ€ข Experience reviewing technical documentation, engineering analyses, and contractor deliverables.
โ€ข Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
โ€ข Ability to work effectively within integrated Government and contractor teams.
โ€ข Active Secret security clearance required.

Preferred Qualifications

โ€ข Experience supporting MQ-9 Reaper programs.
โ€ข Experience supporting Foreign Military Sales (FMS) programs.
โ€ข Familiarity with AFLCMC, AFRL, or Wright-Patterson AFB organizations.
โ€ข Experience supporting developmental test, operational test, or flight test activities.
โ€ข Experience with configuration management, requirements management, and systems integration.
โ€ข Active Secret clearance.
