Job description

General Counsel – Experienced Generalist Attorney 

A well-established corporation is seeking a General Counsel with 20+ years of broad legal experience in corporate and transactional matters. The ideal candidate is a graduate of a top 50 law school and has a proven track record in a large law firm (50+ attorneys) handling a wide range of corporate, compliance, and strategic legal issues. 

Key Qualifications: 

  • J.D. from a top 50 law school 
  • Licensed to practice law in the State of California and in good standing 
  • 20+ years of legal experience with a focus on corporate and transactional law 
  • Background in a firm with at least 50 attorneys 
  • Strong business litigation, negotiation, contract drafting, and risk management skills 
  • Ability to provide strategic legal counsel to executive leadership 

Compensation & Work Structure: 

  • Salary Range: $300,000 – $400,000 plus benefits (full-time) 
  • Part-time and remote options may be available
