Worldwide Professional Solutions is seeking a highly skilled, experienced, and motivated Project Manager to join our growing team in Lafayette, Indiana, starting onsite at the project in August 2025 on a large-scale biotech manufacturing construction project. 

Successful candidates for this position will have demonstrated Construction Project Management success with previous construction experience working directly with a mechanical contractor and must be self-motivated, technical skilled, highly organized, clearly communicate and have a proven ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment.  Candidates work history must represents increased levels of responsibility on a progressive basis throughout career. Semiconductor, pharmaceutical, or biotech experience a plus.

Project Manager with over 10 years of experience in overseeing the design, installation, testing, and maintenance of Automation Systems on construction projects. This role leads collaboration with the owner and general contractor to ensure scope designs are implemented safely, functionally, and compliantly. Responsibilities include reviewing Engineering and Project documents (P&IDs, specifications, procedures, scope), bids, and driving general contractor engagement throughout the design and installation phases as an owners Rep. The role supports the owner and general contractor in submittal and RFIs administration, procurement, value engineering, and construction, including multi-trade coordination, performance tracking, means and method deviation approvals, and change request reviews. Furthermore, this position involves system walkdowns, construction test pack reviews, and support for turnover, shakedown, and system startup as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review design drawings, specifications, and technical documents to ensure accuracy and feasibility and constructability.
  • Provide technical expertise to resolve design and implementation challenges.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues that arise during installation through operational phases.
  • Develop and implement corrective actions to address constructability discrepancies.
  • Enforce strict adherence to safety regulations and procedures.
  • Act as the client's representative to review submittals from the AE for BAS.
  • In early design phases provide guidance to the AE on site cabling infrastructure concepts.
  • Ensure focus on the project's sustainability ambitions
  • Ensure site wide coordination with other construction operations to minimize impacts.
  • Review and participate in 3D model reviews of facility and large equipment modules,
  • Review space coordination and equipment routing plans into the buildings during construction phase as necessary.
  • Participate in constructability reviews with site construction teams.
  • Facilitate and provide oversight of the reviews on and after the transition phase between engineering designers and selected contractors.
  • Assist site construction teams and project controls teams for construction progress.
  • Ensure acceptable quality of design and installations.
  • Drive progress and coordination to ensure schedule, cost and quality targets are met.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in general construction within industrial or engineering projects, preferably in Semiconductor, pharmaceutical, oil and gas, or manufacturing sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of building codes, principles and standards.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, P&IDs, and specifications.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Hands-on experience with troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
  • Familiarity with relevant safety regulations, codes, and standards (e.g., NFPA, NEC, OSHA).
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies and software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams, external partners, and key stakeholders.

 Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong background in large scale multibuilding General Construction.
  • Previous work with foreign clients and organizations.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, architecture or engineering, or related field preferred
  • Equivalent experience in the field will be considered in lieu of formal education.
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred. Will provide for selected candidate, if needed.
