Job description

Join our dynamic construction team as an Assistant Project Manager at C.T. Brayton and Sons, playing a vital role in diverse construction projects throughout the Central Valley. In this role, you will serve as a key liaison between the owner, subcontractors, and field teams to ensure the successful execution of construction projects, especially healthcare projects. Your expertise in construction management and project scheduling will drive project efficiency, quality, and safety. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to complex projects from inception through completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with client expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing detailed project schedules using Microsoft Project and other construction management software to ensure timely project delivery.
  • Support our Project Managers in preparing and reviewing construction estimates, budgets, and contracts with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Coordinate daily activities on construction sites, ensuring safety protocols are followed and work progresses smoothly.
  • Utilize tools like Autodesk Build and Bluebeam for document management, RFIs , submittals, and change orders.
  • Monitor project progress through site visits, inspections, and progress reports; communicate updates effectively to all stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with subcontractors, owners, and design team to resolve issues promptly and keep projects on track.

Ideal Experience

  • Proven experience in construction management for commercial construction projects
  • Familiarity with construction estimating processes and project scheduling
