Job description

Become a vital part of a hospital-based imaging team in Myrtle Beach, SC as an experienced Computed Tomography Technologist. You will perform routine CT and diagnostic X-ray procedures in a free-standing emergency department setting. You will operate a GE 64-slice CT and related digital and portable X-ray equipment, administer contrast agents per physician direction, and document exams in the Meditech system. The role requires independent decision making while maintaining patient safety and imaging quality.
Minimum Qualifications:

  • Current ARRT Radiography certification required.
  • State radiologic technologist license for South Carolina (SC QRSA) required.
  • Minimum 2 years CT technologist experience or equivalent CT experience in an emergency or hospital setting.
  • CT experience and knowledge required; CT certification preferred.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Proficiency performing both CT and diagnostic radiology procedures.
  • Experience using Meditech or similar electronic documentation systems preferred.
  • Ability to function independently in a fast-paced, small free-standing ED environment.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience working solo as the primary CT/Rad Tech on shift preferred.
  • Familiarity with GE 64-slice CT and GE digital/portable X-ray equipment preferred.

Assignment Details
  • Shift hours: 1900-0700.
  • Typical exam volume: approximately 10-20 CT exams per shift.
  • Call requirement: approximately 2 call shifts per month.
