A casino slot game is just like your favorite video game, except our loot boxes give you actual moneyโ€ฆ in real life. We use the same techniques and tools as video game companies around the world. So, if you love to play and make games, weโ€™re searching for a talented Game Mathematicianbased inChicago who is passionate about creating engaging, data-driven gaming experiences.

What You Will Do: As a Game Mathematician, you will play a key role in shaping the player experience by creating, designing, and analyzing the mathematical models that is the core of our games. You will contribute across the full game development lifecycle, collaborating with cross-functional teams.

  • Working closely with Game Design leadership, designing and developing mathematical models for casino slot games, including RTP, volatility, and overall game behavior.
  • Creating math for original titles for land-based slot games using Excel and/or programming math simulations/calculations.
  • Producing clear and detailed mathematical documentation (math models, game logic)
  • Testing and validating game outcomes using Excel, simulations, calculation programs, and internal tools
  • Supporting development teams with mathematical insights and ensuring accuracy throughout production
  • Review documents for error and misspellings.
Qualifications

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of related work experience
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in a relevant field (e.g., mathematics, statistics, physics).
  • Solid experience with MS Excel
  • Strong programming knowledge (C++, C#, or similar language).
  • Can make the sound of one hand clapping

The estimated starting compensation range for this role is $110,000-$150,000 annually USD, based on a good-faith assessment at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary. IGT complies with all applicable pay transparency and compensation laws and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable. Base pay is one component of IGTโ€™s total rewards program. Depending on the role, employees may be eligible for bonus or commission opportunities.
