Job description

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Graduate Assistant for Athletic Operations & Facilities will work closely with the entire external operations team to plan and facilitate home events, including setup and teardown of athletic facilities, event operations, and day-to-day operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist the Associate Athletic Director of External Operations & the Director of Gameday Operations & Facilities with gameday preparations and operations.
  • Assist with enhancing the gameday environment for our fans and Student-Athletes.
  • Lead and monitor student workers for game operations.
  • Assist with the caretaking of officials and visiting team while on NGU's campus
  • Assist with the setup and teardown of athletic facilities for competition.
  • Help organize, schedule, and prepare facilities for athletic camps or facility rentals.
  • Assist the Associate Athletic Director of External Operations with corporate partner relations.
  • Any other duties assigned by either Athletic Director, Associate Athletic Director of External Operations, or the Director of Gameday Operations and Facilities.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Mobility and ability to lift equipment or other items of 50 pounds.
  • Hearing well enough to communicate with students and co-workers.
  • Visual ability to drive, read, and use a computer.
  • Cognitive/Emotional - ability to think critically and concentrate.

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:
  • The position is a part-time position in Athletics. The Graduate Assistant for Athletic Communications & Media Relations reports directly to the Director of Sports Information & Live Production.

WORK SCHEDULE:
  • The Graduate Assistant for Athletic Operations and Facilities is required to maintain normal office hours, attend all home athletic events, and attend required meetings.

TRAVEL:
  • Travel is required for some athletic events, conferences, and other required meetings.
