The Opportunity
In this role, the Developer will be responsible for signing, developing, testing, implementing, maintaining, supporting and documenting applications and systems to support the company's strategic initiatives.
This is an onsite role at our Edmonton office working Monday through Friday.
What you Will do
  • Translation of detailed design specifications into code solutions, requirement analysis
  • .NET Web Development (C#/VB.NET/WebForms/MVC/WebAPI/Blazor)
  • Database Design
  • Stored Procedure Development
  • Object model design
  • Root-cause code analysis
  • Comprehensive code testing and validation to ensure functionality, performance, and security standards are met
  • System documentation
  • Provide system expertise for solutions and enhancements
  • Developing/enhancing frontend + backend + APIs
  • Identifying requirement gaps
  • All other duties as assigned

Requirements
What you Will Need to Succeed
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and minimum of 1 year programming experience in .NET development
  • Ability to learn and understand the complex relationship among the various components of the system
  • Basic understanding of .NET (C#/VB.NET), Web Services, XML, JSON, extensive web page development, Web Forms or MVC, WebAPI, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, Blazor, JavaScript, TSQL, and Stored Procedure Development in SQL Server
  • Proficiency in SQL
  • Mastery of development tools
  • Current on secure programming best practices
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, Git, Continuous Integration/Delivery, and MVC is desired
