THE ROLE:
ProbablyMonsters is currently seeking a Social Editor / Game Capture Artist to help create engaging content across our social channels and marketing campaigns. This role sits within Creative Services, which champions a global team of world-class marketers who have launched industry-leading games and are committed to mentoring, training, and developing the next generation of video game marketers. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Fort Worth, TX.
WHO YOU ARE:
  • You are passionate about video games, gaming culture, and social media.
  • You have experience creating short-form content for platforms such as TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, X, and other emerging social platforms.
  • You possess strong editorial instincts and understand how to craft content that is engaging, platform-native, and audience-focused.
  • You have experience with basic motion graphics, text animation, and meme-style editing techniques commonly used across social platforms.
  • You have experience with gameplay capture workflows, game engines, and/or developer tools.
  • You have a strong understanding of cinematic language, pacing, storytelling, and visual composition.
  • You can navigate technical workflows and troubleshoot capture or gameplay-related issues.
  • You are comfortable balancing multiple projects while managing fast-turnaround content requests.
  • You have excellent communication and collaboration skills and enjoy working closely with creative, marketing, and development teams.
  • You are highly organized, adaptable, and eager to learn new tools, workflows, and content formats.
  • You are driven to push creative boundaries and deliver exceptional content that resonates with gaming audiences.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
  • Create, edit, and deliver short-form and long-form video content for social media, community, and marketing channels.
  • Transform gameplay moments, development updates, trailers, and marketing beats into engaging social-first content.
  • Capture gameplay footage using player-perspective cameras, detached cameras, debug tools, and in-engine solutions.
  • Work in Unreal Engine 5 and other development tools as needed to capture bespoke shots and overcome technical challenges.
  • Collaborate with creative directors, social media managers, marketers, and producers to develop content concepts and execution plans.
  • Generate shot lists, content ideas, and editorial approaches based on creative briefs, campaign plans, and social trends.
  • Create rapid-turnaround content in support of live events, game updates, announcements, and community moments.
  • Edit motion graphics, captions, text treatments, and other platform-native elements to maximize engagement.
  • Maintain awareness of social media trends, platform best practices, and gaming community conversations.
  • Become familiar with in-development titles and maintain updated game builds for content creation.
  • Report gameplay issues, bugs, or content capture blockers to development and creative teams as needed.
  • Coordinate delivery of finished assets across internal stakeholders and publishing channels.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience creating social content, gameplay capture, or video marketing assets for a game developer, publisher, agency, or entertainment brand.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating social-first editing, motion design, gameplay capture, and content storytelling.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro.
  • Working knowledge of After Effects, Photoshop, Audition, DaVinci Resolve, or similar creative tools.
  • Experience creating motion graphic elements, animated text treatments, and social-native editing styles for short-form content.
  • Experience creating content optimized for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, X, and related social platforms.
  • General understanding of Unreal Engine 5 and game development workflows.
  • Strong understanding of post-production workflows, video formats, codecs, and delivery requirements.
  • Ability to balance planned campaign work with reactive, real-time content opportunities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to present creative work to stakeholders.
  • Must provide a current portfolio or demo reel showcasing social content, video editing, and gameplay capture work.

Compensation:
  • This is a full-time, benefits-eligible, exempt (salaried) position.
  • The full salary range for this position is $88,000 - $119,000 per year. When an offer is made, many factors are considered, such as your unique experience and skills, where you live, where the work will be performed, what similar jobs pay, and internal equity.
  • In addition to base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for additional incentives, such as short- and long-term incentives. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
