Job Summary

Reading Is Fundamental (RIF) is seeking a collaborative and results-driven Fundraising Direct Response Manager. In this role, you’ll play a pivotal part in advancing RIF’s donor growth and revenue strategies. This position focuses on implementing innovative, omnichannel fundraising campaigns across both digital and traditional platforms—including paid advertising, social media, SMS, and direct mail.

What You’ll Do

  • Plan and execute robust, creative, and conversion-driven omnichannel fundraising campaigns.
  • Lead strategy, execution, and optimization of digital fundraising and direct mail efforts to acquire new donors, re-engage lapsed supporters, and retain existing donors.
  • Collaborate cross-departmentally to align fundraising strategies and messaging with broader organizational goals.
  • Use data and analytics to evaluate campaign performance, track donor behavior, and inform future strategies to improve response rates and ROI.
  • Ensure compliance with fundraising regulations, data privacy laws, and digital marketing best practices.
  • Oversee the development, implementation, and optimization of campaigns on RIF.org, ensuring alignment with fundraising and organizational goals.
  • Create targeted email, social media, advertising, and SMS campaigns to engage donors throughout the giving cycle.

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, nonprofit management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of experience in nonprofit fundraising or digital marketing, with at least 2 years leading successful digital fundraising initiatives.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Raiser’s Edge), online fundraising platforms (e.g., Classy, Engaging Networks), and analytics/marketing tools (e.g., email automation, Google Analytics, Tag Manager).
  • Strong knowledge of SEO, SEM, social media advertising, and conversion-optimized campaign development.
  • Excellent project management skills, including experience coordinating vendors and managing timelines and budgets.
  • Strong communication and analytical abilities with a data-driven, audience-focused approach.
