Position: Payroll Manager- Full Time
Compensation: DOE. Full benefit package.
Location: Grand Rapids, MI
Responsibilities: The Payroll Manager is responsible for overseeing end-to-end payroll operations, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for all employees. This position will lead a payroll team, develop and streamline payroll processes, support system upgrades and software implementations, and ensure compliance with all payroll-related regulations. Successful candidates will have extensive experience managing payroll taxes, employee benefits, garnishments, and payroll compliance, along with strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
Here’s what you’ll be doing:
Payroll Administration
  • Manage end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Review payroll hours, earnings, deductions, benefits, garnishments, and taxes.
  • Generate payroll reports and complete new-hire reporting.
Administration amp; Compliance
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
  • Manage payroll inquiries, correspondence, and weekly payroll deadlines.
Operations amp; Process Improvement
  • Partner with HR, Accounting, Operations, and Sales to support payroll accuracy.
  • Identify and implement process improvements and system enhancements.
  • Support payroll software updates, testing, and employee training.
Employee Support
  • Serve as the primary resource for payroll-related questions.
  • Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies.
  • Educate employees on payroll policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
Systems amp; Technology
  • Utilize payroll systems and reporting tools effectively.
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee and payroll information.
  • Adapt to new technologies and support continuous process improvements.

  • Certifications: Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred.
