Job description

Job Title: Workforce Management Analyst
Job Description
The Workforce Management Analyst supports timekeeping, attendance tracking, and scheduling processes across U.S. and Canadian operations, with a strong focus on UKG and related payroll systems. This role serves as a subject matter expert for workforce management tools, ensures compliance with labor regulations, and provides reporting and analytics to support labor forecasting and scheduling strategies. The position is hybrid and based in the Pioneer Square area of Seattle, WA, offering the opportunity to contribute to an innovative and collaborative HR team in a highly regarded workplace.
Responsibilities
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for UKG Workforce Management timekeeping, attendance tracking, and scheduling across U.S. and Canadian operations, with eventual responsibility for labor forecasting and analytics.
  • Work closely with business operations, IT, HR, and technology vendors to support existing workforce management, time and attendance, and scheduling systems, and to optimize solutions through process improvements, system enhancements, and new technology implementations.
  • Ensure that timekeeping and workforce scheduling systems comply with applicable federal, state, provincial, and local laws and regulations, as well as corporate governance requirements in both the U.S. and Canada.
  • Monitor and validate the accurate capture of worked hours, attendance exceptions such as late arrivals, no-shows, early departures, and breaks, as well as PTO and leave usage and schedule adherence prior to payroll processing.
  • Identify system or process deficiencies related to workforce management, timekeeping, scheduling, and labor balance monitoring, and recommend and implement improvements to workflows, controls, documentation, and automation.
  • Act as a liaison between payroll, HR, operations, and IT by capturing business requirements for time and attendance and scheduling processes, and translating them into clear technical specifications for system improvements and enhancements.
  • Support internal and external audits of timekeeping, attendance, and scheduling processes by preparing audit documentation, tracking findings, and implementing remediation actions.
  • Provide reporting and analytics on time and attendance data, including absence trends, exception volumes, schedule adherence, and labor cost variances, and support the development of forecasted labor models, staffing recommendations, and scheduling strategies.
  • Collaborate with payroll accounting and payroll operations teams to understand how timekeeping and scheduling data flow into payroll, and support the resolution of variances and issues resulting from time and schedule inputs.
  • Lead or contribute to projects and initiatives such as system rollouts, process improvements, and training efforts related to workforce management and timekeeping solutions.
  • Communicate technical and process information clearly to stakeholders at all levels, fostering strong relationships across operations, HR, IT, and vendor partners.
Essential Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, finance, analytics, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of related experience in time and attendance, scheduling, workforce management, or equivalent functions.
  • Experience working within UKG and payroll systems, with strong understanding of payroll inputs and impacts.
  • Experience in a large, complex, multi-jurisdiction enterprise environment spanning the U.S. and Canada.
  • Experience implementing or supporting HCM, workforce management, time and attendance, or scheduling systems such as UKG Pro, Kronos Workforce Dimensions, Kronos Central, ADP eTime, or similar platforms.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and lookup functions, and strong working knowledge of other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, with the ability to use data analysis tools and generate meaningful reports.
  • Ability to communicate technical information effectively with stakeholders and management at all levels.
  • Demonstrated experience leading projects or initiatives such as system rollouts, process improvements, or training programs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to build effective relationships across operations, HR, IT, and vendor partners.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • UKG Certified Professional or equivalent UKG Workforce Management certifications.
  • Experience with Kronos Workforce Dimensions and Kronos Central.
  • Experience with ADP eTime or similar time and attendance solutions.
  • Professional payroll certifications such as CPP or FPC.
  • Experience with workforce planning and schedule planning in complex environments.
  • Exposure to or experience supporting HCM platforms and broader HR technology ecosystems.
  • Background in analytics or finance that supports labor forecasting and cost analysis.
  • Ability to act as a trusted partner and advisor to senior stakeholders on workforce management topics.

This role operates in a hybrid work environment based in downtown Seattle, in the Pioneer Square area. Pay and Benefits
