What is the highest paid job in social care?

These roles require extensive experience, advanced degrees, and strong management skills, overseeing large teams and budgets within government agencies or large organizations.

Will AI replace LCSWs?

AI cannot fully replace Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSWs) because their role involves complex human interactions, empathy, and clinical judgment that AI tools cannot replicate. While AI can assist with administrative tasks and support decision-making, LCSWs' expertise in therapy, assessment, and personalized care remains essential in social services. The profession will likely evolve to incorporate AI as a complementary tool rather than a replacement.

What else can I do with a social work degree?

A social work degree opens opportunities in areas such as healthcare, mental health, community outreach, and policy advocacy. Graduates can work as counselors, case managers, school social workers, or in administrative roles, often requiring strong communication, assessment skills, and sometimes licensure or certification. The degree provides a foundation for diverse roles focused on helping individuals and communities.
