Job description


PURPOSE:
  • Assist residents to manage and administer their OWN medications through MED REMINDER PROGRAM.
  • Assist residents to document the administration times of their medications using company technology platform to monitor compliance.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • To ensure all residents take their medications daily and report non-compliant residents.
  • To document and receive medications from the Pharmacy and properly store medications.
  • Properly upload all medications on resident's profile in an accurate manner.
  • Assist residents in obtaining new and refill prescriptions.
  • Medication management thru med reminders following Company's policies and procedures.
  • Daily wellness observations and documentations of side effect complaints.
  • Communicates clearly with residents, families, case management, and Housing Director regarding concerns, issues, errors, and non-compliance.
  • Orders, receives, and inventories supplies and medications. Ensure supplies are always available.
  • Maintains orderliness and cleanliness of the med room.
  • Reports concerns about residents to appropriate supervisors.
  • Assist housing team in performing daily breathalyzers and random drug tests.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 12 months experience administering medications preferred but not required.
  • Proficient communication in verbal and written English.
  • Good organizational and documentation skills
  • Good telephone skills
  • Must pass background check and drug test.
  • Basic First Aid training preferred but not required.
  • Computer proficient. Excel and Word programs.

PREFERENCES:
  • One year experience as a med tech in a long term care facility, sober living, or transitional housing.
  • Bilingual
  • Behavioral health experience
