Description
Our top priority is ensuring customer orders arrive on time, are loaded and unloaded with care, and are packaged correctly. If that's yours too, we may have the Shipping and Receiving role for you! Our team is growing and so is the number of customer orders we are handling, which means Solar Atmospheres in El Cajon is looking to add a full-time Shipping and Receiving Assistant to the team!
Schedule: Monday-Friday from 7:00am-3:30pm, but occasional overtime may be required based on business needs.
What you'll do
As a Shipping and Receiving Assistant at Solar Atmospheres, you will handle customer products before and after the heat-treating process, ensuring they are handled with care throughout. Day-to-day you'll:
  • Receive, pull, and pack orders for customers
  • Load and unload trucks as needed
  • Make local deliveries/pickups
  • Check materials into the computer system to keep accurate records and inventory
  • Operate standard warehouse equipment such as forklifts, rolling ladders, skid loaders, and other material handling tools
  • Collaborate and assist co-workers in the shipping department, delivery drivers, and Furnace Operators
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

What you need to thrive in this role
  • High school diploma
  • A valid driver's license
  • Prior shipping/receiving experience, preferred
  • Reliability and dependability are a must to ensure our customer's products ship on time
  • Organizational skills, efficiency, the ability to work independently, and computer skills
  • Ability to bend, stoop, lift up to 50lbs, and work around material handling equipment
