Shipping amp; Receiving, 1st Shift
Hiring Immediately
Job Type: Full Time Hourly
Joy-Mark, Inc. is a manufacturing facility located in Cudahy, WI. We use automated vacuum forming and mixing processes to produce a wide variety of custom made foundry feeding aids and insulating metal handling products.
The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7a-3p.
Starting pay is $24/hour.
Responsibilities:
Shipping
  • Coordinate daily shipping activities with Shipping/Receiving Manager, Inventory Lead, and Customer Service to stage outbound shipments.
  • Verify all outbound shipments for accuracy, including reconciling item, quantity, labeling, and documentation to the shipping paperwork.
  • Prepare and complete all required shipping paperwork (internal and carrier documentation).
  • Load truckload (TL) and less-than-truckload (LTL) shipments safely and efficiently.
  • Ensure proper packaging, including special handling or customer-specific requirements.
  • Maintain shipping schedules and proactively communicate delays or issues.
  • Operate forklift and material handling equipment to stage and move finished goods.
Receiving
  • Receive and unload incoming shipments, verifying items against purchase orders and packing slips.
  • Inspect materials for damage and accuracy, document discrepancies, and notify purchasing and/or management.
  • Ensure all receiving documentation is completed accurately and submitted promptly for processing.
  • Coordinate with purchasing and production to route materials to appropriate locations.
Warehouse
  • Maintain organized staging areas for inbound and outbound materials.
  • Coordinate with the Inventory Lead to assist with inventory movement, consolidation, and general material flow between warehouse and production.
  • Support accurate material tracking through proper documentation and system updates.
  • Fill PS401 drums as needed
  • Support special projects or operational needs as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Ability to lift 50lbs and work in warehouse conditions (hot and cold environments).
  • Forklift certification (or ability to obtain immediately).
  • High attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
  • Organized, self-directed, and process oriented.
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Excel (data entry, basic formulas, lookup/search functions), Microsoft Office, and Google Suite.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team.
