Job description

Driver needed: Seeking a dedicated, passionate, and caring individual to join our Senior & Adult Program. This position will require you to transport Seniors age 60 and older and person with disabilities to and from their homes, on local outings, and deliver hot meals to eligible Seniors. This is a full-time, benefit eligible position.

Program Statement: At St. Martin de Porres Family Center, we provide an array of services for early childhood, older adults, after-school programming, food pantry, home-delivered meals, and emergency assistance. St. Martin de Porres is located in the heart of the Glenville community and takes pride in meeting the needs of the residence we serve through service coordination and empowering them to be self sufficient.
Driver Responsibilities:
  • Transport seniors to and from their homes and on local outings.
  • Complete pre-trip vehicle inspection daily.
  • Deliver hot meals to eligible participants.
  • Complete administrative duties.

Requirements:
  • A minimum of two years of licensed driving experience is required.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age at the time of
  • Must have a valid Ohio Driver's License, provide a copy of driver's license, and are subject to a Moving Vehicle Report (MVR) check through the Department of Motor Vehicles annually. Any MVR grade of "unacceptable" is not permitted to operate a company or personal vehicle on behalf of Catholic
  • Must have a documented signed statement from a licensed physician stating there are no medical or physical conditions that could interfere with safe driving, passenger assistance, emergency treatment activity and jeopardize the health and welfare of a client or the general public.
  • Must pass an alcohol and drug test conducted by an institution approved by the Ohio Medical Transportation Board.
  • Must have good oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Must be able to document services delivered.
  • Applicants of Catholic Charities must provide three references; two professional (one must be a previous supervisor) and the third one can be personal.
