Job description

Job Summary:
Connect is looking for a Full Time Resort Maintenance Attendant. The Resort Maintenance Attendant reports to the Lead Resort Maintenance Attendant and takes direction from both the Resort Manager and the Lead Resort Maintenance Attendant as appropriate. The Resort Maintenance Attendant provides manpower for the Maintenance Department and aides in unit efficiency, proper building maintenance and appealing outside grounds. Provides general mechanical and periodic maintenance to resort common areas and units. Supports the efforts in meeting company guest satisfaction goals. This position has a support responsibility to all functional officers, directors, and managers. May require working on weekends and holidays.

Essential functions/duties include:
  • Perform general and planned preventative maintenance, daily inspections, service calls, hourly pool upkeep, and light landscaping duties
  • Responsible for overall exterior and interior building knowledge; ability to identify, report, and minimize abnormal maintenance conditions or safety concerns
  • Respond to emergency situations and performing emergency procedures
  • Respond to daily maintenance requests
  • Maintain building interior, exterior, and curb appeal (i.e. painting, snow removal, and patching vinyl)
  • Assist with checking electrical systems and making minor repairs (A/C controls, TVs, and Lighting Systems)
  • Inspect, check, and make routine repairs of resort equipment and fixtures (small appliances, kitchen and laundry equipment, boilers, general plumbing, pipe lines, toilets, sinks)
  • Paint and refurbish furniture and fixtures in units (counters, cabinets, tables, chairs, doors, windows, flooring)
  • High School Graduate or Equivalent
  • General repair knowledge/experience preferred
  • Knowledge of basic hand tools
  • Pool certification is required
  • Position commonly requires standing, climbing stairs, talking and hearing. Position frequently requires walking, lifting, handling, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and use of touch to feel. Must frequently lift and move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift/move up to 25 pounds. Items over 25 pounds will be done with equipment or the assistance of two or more employees.
