Compensation: $82,652.80 - $102,652.80 annual salary

The Production Manager manages and oversees the site production effort and results for all work including both fixed price maintenance (workorders) and reimbursable funded projects (projects). The Production Manager manages, oversees, and optimizes the full, end to end (E2E) production process including support functions such as scheduling, logistics, subcontractors, external communications, asset management, maintenance optimization, reliability, and reporting. The Production Manager leads and manages the production, logistics, project, and Maximo/IT teams. The success of this position will draw from Tessera's leadership competencies: Mission and Values: Safety Leadership; Operations Excellence; Customer Service; and Servant Leadership.
Typical duties include but are not limited to:
  • Manage and oversee the integrated, E2E production process and ensure continual improvement. Responsible for coordinating with site, Home Office, and client teams to continually improve the process through best practices, innovation, and systems. Understand all process aspects including shop and technician tasks centered around mobile applications. Responsible for meeting key performance and contract objectives. Ensure shift to proactive maintenance, asset management and reliability.
  • To enable continuous process improvement, identify, prioritize, and manage the implementation of improvements to core systems. Manage and oversee coordination of the joint team including key site leads (identify issues and improvements) and RAM system leads (configure and integrate systems).
  • Manage and oversee all information collection, transformation, and distribution including contract deliverables, automated reports, and BI views/dashboards. Maintain strong knowledge of key asset, work, and reliability data and continually improves methods to convert data into actionable information. Manage and oversee asset data reviews and project prioritization both internally and with DPW partners. Ensures key performance information and metrics are displayed in Tessera and DPW dashboards and supports contractual and other reporting requirements.
  • Work with Site teams, manage and oversee key improvements to increase shop efficiency and effectiveness such as work routing, planning, scheduling, purchasing, streamlined approvals, and online technical data lookup with goal of exceeding 40% wrench-time by end of year 3 (using workorder completion as a proxy). Planned improvements will be added incrementally and supported by the RAM team.
  • Manage and oversee the project team responsible for execution of all reimbursable projects. Ensure the project process meets contract and performance objectives. Leverage systems to streamline and automate key functions and tasks.
  • Manage and oversee the Production Clerk team responsible for E2E work processing including integration with client systems leveraging both automated and manual entry. Ensure all key work and asset data is captured, integrated and enriched - enabling both Tessera and Client systems and requirements. This effort includes but is not limited to new project digitization, planned maintenance alignment, asset inventory, and condition ratings. Manage, train, and mentor team. Responsible for meeting key performance and contract objectives.
  • Manage the purchasing and inventory functions leveraging best practices and systems. Ensures logistics results fully support production, procurement, and regulatory requirements. Trains and mentors team. Responsible for meeting key performance and contract objectives.
  • Leverage Tessera Maximo, effectively tracks all GFP including facilities, equipment, vehicles and materials. Ensures all required reporting and accountability is accomplished.
  • Responsible for ensuring full contract requirements are understood and aligned to the appropriate site teams for day-to-day management.
  • Ensure employees understand expectations and manages completion of key projects. Understands and leverages maintenance best practices and enabling technology.
  • Fully support Tessera's mission of Providing Opportunities to People with Disabilities. Actively partner with Tessera's recruiters, vocational specialists, HR Partners, and Workforce Development teams to attract, retain, and develop a diverse employee workforce.
  • In support of the Site Manager, ensure required supervision coverage is maintained during both regular and non-duty hours in accordance with company policy and contract requirements. Manage duty rosters.
  • Maintain responsiveness to DPW leadership and contracting officer in accordance with contract requirements.
  • Authorized, as delegated by the Site Manager and within established approval limits, to requisition supplies and materials and sign task orders for IJO (Individual Job Orders) within the Tessera approval tiers.
  • Travel to home office conferences, flagship sites, and outlying contract sites as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree in maintenance management preferred.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of maintenance management experience required.
  • Certified Reliability Leader (CRL) certification required within the first two (2) years of hire.
  • Must demonstrate proficiency in maintenance production control, maintenance supervision, planning integration, leadership, logistics and QC knowledge, scheduling, Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) systems.

  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.
  • May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties.

  • Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.
