Job description

Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Location: Gages Lake, IL

Compensation Starting At:

SLP-CF: $45/hour
SLP-CCC: $51/hour
Travelers: $58/hour equivalent
Higher rates available based on experience and assignment details

Hours: Full-time, 37.5–40 hours/week

Assignment: 2026–2027 School Year

About the Role

ProCare Therapy is partnering with school districts in the Gages Lake area to hire a School Speech-Language Pathologist for a travel assignment. Join a collaborative educational team while helping students reach their communication goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct and consultative speech-language therapy services to students
• Conduct evaluations and assessments as part of the IEP process
• Develop and implement IEP goals; track and document student progress
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school teams
• Maintain accurate documentation per district and state standards
• Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary collaboration

Caseload Details

• Setting: K–12 School-Based
• Caseload size: District determined
• Focus areas: Articulation, expressive/receptive language, fluency, and AAC
• Number of schools: One or more sites depending on assignment

Qualifications

• Active Illinois Speech-Language Pathology license (or eligibility to obtain)
• Professional Educator License (PEL) preferred or ability to obtain if required
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening
• Prior school-based experience preferred
