    Job description

    Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

    Location: Newark, Ohio

    Assignment Dates: August 17, 2025 – May 27, 2027

    Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7.5 hours per day  


    Position Overview

    We are seeking five dedicated and passionate Intervention Specialists to support students in a variety of educational settings. These roles are ideal for educators committed to fostering inclusive learning environments and helping students achieve their academic and developmental goals.
    Candidates should indicate their preferred grade level and setting when applying.


    Open Positions

    • Elementary Intervention Specialists (Self-Contained Classrooms) Provide direct instruction and support to elementary students in a self-contained special education setting.
    • High School Intervention Specialists (Co-Teaching Model) Collaborate with general education teachers to deliver inclusive instruction and support students with diverse learning needs in a high school environment.
    • Multiple Disabilities (MD) Intervention Specialist (Self-Contained Classroom) Work with students with multiple disabilities in a structured, supportive classroom setting, focusing on individualized learning and life skills development.


    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
    • Deliver differentiated instruction aligned with student needs
    • Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families
    • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
    • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment


    Qualifications

    • Valid Ohio Intervention Specialist license (or ability to obtain)
    • Experience working with students with special needs preferred
    • Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills
    • Commitment to student success and inclusive practices
