In addition to HVAC repairs and maintenance, our portfolio of facilities services includes on-site personnel for building management operations and maintenance.

Job Summary

EMCOR Services Betlem is looking for a Controller who is a finance leader responsible for overseeing the company's day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, internal controls, and compliance. Reporting directly to the CFO, this role will play a critical part in ensuring accurate financial information, strengthening processes, and supporting strategic decisionmaking across the organization.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, fixed assets, and revenue recognition.
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
  • Manage the close process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain strong internal controls and accounting policies.
  • Coordinate and lead external audits, sales tax filings, and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Partner with the CFO on budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial analysis.
  • Provide clear financial insights and variance analysis to support business decisions.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Support system implementations, process improvements, and scalability initiatives as the company grows.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • CPA or equivalent professional certification a plus
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including people management
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements
  • Proven ability to improve processes, controls, and reporting efficiency
  • Advanced proficiency in accounting systems and Excel; ERP system experience (ex. COINS/Oracle/SAP)
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Experience in the Construction industry a plus
  • Experience managing audits (internal/external)
