The health services that became the Anthony L Jordan Health Corporation (Jordan Health) began more than 100 years ago, in 1904. As one of the first 5 Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC) established in the nation, its roots are steeped in service to those who face barriers to health and health care, meeting their need for comprehensive medical, dentistry, behavioral health, and community services. Starting in northeast Rochester, NY, Jordan Health has since expanded to become a network of primary care offices and health centers serving residents living in three quadrants of Rochester, NY and in Canandaigua, N.Y.


Jordan Health is now seeking a Controller who, under the guidance of the Chief Financial Officer, is primarily responsible for the accurate reporting of all accounting functions, including payables, receivables, and purchasing. They have primary responsibility for ensuring accurate accounting of all grant funds and maintaining compliance with all applicable financial conditions required by grantors.

Requirements:

The Controller will ensure to:

· Support long and short-term budgetary planning and cost management

· Provide recommendations based on financial analysis and projections, cost identification, allocation and revenue/expense analysis

· Ensure Jordan Health is in full compliance with financial reporting requirements

· Provide grant administration and billing oversight

· Conduct regular financial reporting

· Ensure Jordan Health remains in compliance with financial regulations


Education And Experience Required:

· Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance

· Master’s degree, such as MBA in finance, or CPA preferred

· Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a financial role, preferably in a health care setting if Bachelor’s degree

· A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a financial role if Master’s degree or CPA

· Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, primarily Excel

· Knowledge of Great Plains accounting software preferred

· Strong work eithic and emphasis on attention to detail

· CPA preferred

· Analytical problem-solving ability

· Ability to work well under pressure and within short deadlines
