Peak Physical Therapy is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Full-Time Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team in Portland, Connecticut. In this pivotal role, you will play an essential part in our patients' recovery journeys, working collaboratively with a small team to deliver top-notch rehabilitation services that enhance mobility and quality of life.

Peak Physical Therapy is a well-respected orthopedic outpatient private practice specializing in physical rehabilitation. We pride ourselves on our state-of-the-art 5,000-square-foot sports medicine facility equipped with cutting-edge technology and resources that enable us to provide exceptional care. Our practice is primarily comprised of clinicians with substantial expertise in orthopedic physical therapy, and we only accept patients with private medical insurance, allowing us to focus on delivering personalized and high-quality interventions.

Work Environment

This onsite role is set within our modern rehabilitation center in Portland, CT, where you will work closely with a small yet dedicated team of two physical therapists and one physical therapist assistant (PTA). Our collaborative environment emphasizes supporting each other in providing comprehensive patient care and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough evaluations to assess patients' physical conditions and utilize this information to develop comprehensive individualized treatment plans.
  • Manage a caseload of one patient per hour, focusing on tailored interventions that effectively address each patient's unique objectives and needs.
  • Deliver evidence-based, cost-effective treatment options aimed at improving patients' range of motion, mobility, and overall functional capabilities.
  • Educate patients on their conditions and treatment plans and motivate them to adhere to prescribed exercises and lifestyle changes to optimize their recovery.
  • Develop and implement wellness programs that promote strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination, contributing to the overall health of your patients.
  • Regularly evaluate treatment outcomes and adapt care plans based on patient progress, ensuring clear communication and documentation of services provided.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and cohesive care for our patients.
Patient Population / Client Focus

At Peak Physical Therapy, our primary focus is on serving individuals with orthopedic conditions requiring rehabilitation. You will work with diverse patient backgrounds, each with unique needs and recovery goals. Qualifications
  • Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
  • Valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Connecticut.
  • No history of disciplinary actions against the license, maintaining a professional and ethical standard.
  • Demonstrated expertise in manual therapy techniques and designing exercise protocols tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Ability to effectively utilize WebPT EMR Software for patient documentation and treatment planning.
Preferred Experience
  • Previous experience working within an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly valued.
  • Familiarity with constructing comprehensive care plans that may include various therapeutic interventions.
  • A proven track record of successfully motivating patients and enhancing their commitment to treatment.
Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
