We are looking for a full-time highly motivated and skilled Engineer - Product Development to join our innovative team. This role requires a strong foundation in Product Design and Product Engineering, with a focus on bringing new products to market. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of Mechanical Engineering principles, Computer-Aided Design (CAD), and Manufacturing Processes. They will be responsible for the entire product lifecycle, from initial concept through Prototyping and into production, utilizing their Problem-Solving abilities and a commitment to Continuous Improvement Process. This individual will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, demonstrating strong Communication and Teamwork skills, while also contributing to New Product Development initiatives.
What You'll Do:
  • Lead the design and development of new products, ensuring alignment with market needs and company strategy.
  • Utilize SolidWorks (CAD) software for creating detailed designs, models, and drawings.
  • Oversee the Prototyping phase, iterating on designs based on testing and feedback.
  • Collaborate with the Manufacturing Processes team to ensure manufacturability and cost-effectiveness.
  • Apply Mechanical Engineering principles to solve complex design challenges.
  • Participate in Product Lifecycle Management activities, from concept to end-of-life.
  • Conduct thorough Troubleshooting (Problem Solving) to identify and resolve design and manufacturing issues.
  • Contribute to Research and development efforts to identify new technologies and materials.
  • Present design concepts and progress updates to stakeholders, utilizing strong Presentations skills.
  • Work closely with Operations and Sales teams to ensure successful product launches.

What You Bring:
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software, specifically SolidWorks.
  • General knowledge of Manufacturing Processes.
  • Demonstrated ability in Product Design and Product Engineering.
  • Experience with Prototyping techniques.
  • Strong Problem Solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent Communication and Teamwork abilities.
  • Familiarity with Product Lifecycle Management principles.
  • Understanding of Continuous Improvement Process methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of experience in product development.
  • Experience with Electrical Engineering principles.
  • Experience with Project Management methodologies.
  • Familiarity with Marketing principles.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
  • Demonstrated Leadership potential.
  • Experience with Innovation processes.
