Job description

Growing food manufacturer is hiring for a Temporary/Part-time Packaging Project Manager role in Santa Cruz, Ca. The role duration is July - January and will likely transition into a full time role in 2027.

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead the end-to-end development and execution of packaging projects across our product portfolio. In this role, you will serve as the central point of coordination between design, supply chain, manufacturing, marketing, and regulatory teams — ensuring packaging initiatives are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. And this is how you'll do it...

Project Management

  • Own the full packaging project lifecycle from kicking off design brief through to production launch, adhering to timelines, budgets, and managing stakeholder communications
  • Work with Director PMO to maintain detailed project plans, tracking milestones, dependencies, and risks across multiple concurrent projects
  • Attend cross-functional project meetings as the representative to the marketing team to keep projects on track
  • Identify and resolve issues proactively, escalating where necessary
  • Partner with brand, design, and creative contractors to manage timelines ensuring projects stay on schedule, managing deadlines by helping with details required to schedule photoshoots, file reviews, press checks, etc.

  • 3-5 years of project management experience, preferably in a packaging, FMCG, consumer goods, or manufacturing environment
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Asana, Monday.com, MS Project, or similar)
  • Experience working with external agencies and suppliers
  • Must be available to go work out of the Santa Cruz, Ca office regularly

This role offer $40/hour - $50/hr and is part time Monday - Friday.
