Job Description

                                                                          Packaging Associate |Columbus, Ohio|Now Hiring

Compensation:

  • Starting pay rate of $17.49 per hour 
  • Shift differential $1.00 for 3rd shift 
  • Eligible for annual & skill-based wage increases
  • Eligible for monthly bonus based upon plant productivity*

Available Shift: 

2nd-Monday-Friday, 3:50pm-12AM

3rd - Sunday-Thursday, 11:50PM-8AM

Summary:

Safely and effectively packs finished goods and prepares product for shipment.

Responsibilities:

Provides support for the operations team by working safely to feed material into machines, inspect product for defects, and pack finished goods in the correct configuration.

Performs quality checks and ensures correct counts on various product sizes and packs items into the appropriate packaging.

Makes minor machine adjustments to minimize interruptions and ensure quality product.

Replaces adhesive tape in hand tapers and automatic sealing machinery.

Ensures that any finished goods or work-in-progress identification labels are present and properly placed.

Stacks finished product in the correct configuration, ready for transportation.

Ensures good housekeeping and maintains a safe, clean, and tidy work area.

Promptly informs supervisor of any issues concerning health and safety, hygiene, quality, or efficiencies.

Follows all company-established rules, policies, and safety regulations.

Completes paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.

Education and/or Experience:

Previous experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment is highly preferred.

Ability to work effectively with others as part of a team is essential.

Ability to follow standard work instructions is required.
