This position has been designated as an acquisition position and is covered by the Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP)
Knowledge of IT and terminology; systems analysis, database management, software engineering, software, hardware, networking, technology and operations, regulations, and other guidance to develop requirements and specifications for systems that meet business requirements.
Knowledge of a variety of IT equipment, interfacing analysis and design techniques, alternative approaches, planning techniques, and maintenance economy to apply a structured systems analysis approach to the design and development of new or enhanced applications.
Knowledge of IT life cycle management, policies, standards and techniques. Knowledge of the principles, concepts, and methodology of IT systems acquisition management to participate in the IT capital planning process.
Knowledge of the capabilities and limitations of applicable IT to conduct systems integration project procurements to advise on the merits of proposed systems development projects.
Knowledge of IT contracting and acquisition techniques, policies, and standards as they relate to the contracting and acquisition of IT infrastructure, hardware, software and services to develop requirements and specifications for systems that meet business requirements.
