Job Description

HII Mission Technologies is seeking a qualified candidate to join our esteemed ADO team in Colorado Springs, CO, and support our valued NORAD/NORTHCOM customer. The ideal candidate should possess extensive experience in various modeling and simulation tools utilized across the Department of Defense (DoD). The integrator should possess a comprehensive understanding of the capabilities of multiple tools, with a general understanding of their operation.

Essential Job Responsibilities
  • Ability to articulate NORAD/NORTHCOM fielding requirements for new M&S systems and upgrades to current systems.
  • Attends meetings, workshops, and conferences to gather information for Global multi-Combatant Command Exercises and make M&S system recommendations necessary to match specific system capabilities to wargame and exercise requirements by coordinating or creating the associated scenario databases and ensuring NORAD/NORTHCOM data and requirements are integrated into the appropriate systems.
  • 10%, or less, of the time this role may focus on building the scripts for individual actions that are taking place during Global multi-Combatant Command exercises and operating the models, ensuring the entities in each model are behaving properly throughout the games.
  • Works in conjunction with another M&S Integrator to support preparation of memoranda, technical plans, and reports to develop the synthetic environment for N&NC wargames and exercises, ensuring the M&S environment provides the capabilities to meet mission requirements for the conduct of wargame and exercise events.
  • Assesses representation in the virtual environment and provides recommendations for improvement and additional realism. Applies analytical techniques in the evaluation of models and simulations.
  • Support/planning for 1-2 large wargames and 2 Tier-1 exercises
  • Self-starter with the ability to independently review strategic documents, incorporate strategic guidance into M&S system recommendations, and communicate guidance and recommendations to stakeholders with a variety of backgrounds
  • May require travel
Minimum Qualifications

LEVEL 3 = 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.

LEVEL 4 = 9 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 4 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience.

LEVEL 5 = 15 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 13 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 10 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 19 years relevant experience.

  • Must have a minimum of five (5) years of joint M&S planning experience in a Combat Support Agency, Combatant Command, or Joint Staff level.
  • Must have practical experience in the application of M&S tools for the planning and execution of joint wargames and/or exercises.
  • Individual(s) should be able to understand and apply joint doctrine.
  • Intermediate knowledge of M&S architectures and design methodology for experiments using live, virtual, and constructive (LVC) environments.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of a broad range of modeling, simulation, and analysis techniques.
  • Familiarity with the operation of a broad range of M&S tools during exercise and wargame execution, and the ability to assess the M&S requirements of a Joint Staff and recommend M&S tools based on those requirements.
  • Operational expertise or related experience supporting air, land, and/or maritime operations.
  • TS/SCI security clearance required

  • 2+ years Instructor/Evaluator Experience

May require working in an office, industrial, shipboard, or laboratory environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances.
