Position Overview

As a Full-Time Mindfulness-Based Licensed Mental Health Counselor at MindWell Therapy Services, you will be instrumental in guiding clients towards improved mental health and emotional well-being. Leveraging your expertise as a Licensed Mental Health Therapist, you will provide tailored mindfulness interventions designed to help individuals manage stress, enhance self-awareness, and cultivate resilience. This role is a unique opportunity to integrate mindfulness practices into therapeutic settings, making a significant impact on the lives of those you serve.

About the Organization

MindWell Therapy Services is a dedicated mental health provider located in Palmdale, California, committed to promoting holistic wellness and personal growth through mindfulness-based therapies. Our organization is built on the belief that mental health care should be accessible, compassionate, and grounded in proven therapeutic techniques. We pride ourselves on creating a supportive environment for both clients and therapists, emphasizing the importance of collaboration and continuous personal development.

Work Environment

This position is predominantly remote, allowing you to work from the comfort of your home while maintaining a connection with a supportive outpatient office setting. You will join a passionate team of therapists who share a commitment to mindfulness-based practices, collaborating through virtual meetings, ongoing training sessions, and peer consultations. The flexibility of remote work is balanced with opportunities for in-person workshops and training events, ultimately fostering a nurturing and growth-oriented culture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive initial assessments of clients to identify their specific stressors, challenges, and therapeutic goals.
  • Implement mindfulness-based interventions, including Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), to guide clients towards relaxation, emotional equilibrium, and enhanced self-awareness.
  • Facilitate individual therapy sessions that integrate mindfulness techniques, ensuring personalized treatment that addresses clients' mental health concerns.
  • Lead group workshops focused on mindfulness practices, stress management, and building resilience among participants.
  • Regularly evaluate client progress and adjust treatment plans and mindfulness strategies as needed, documenting changes thoroughly in our electronic health record system.
  • Engage in personal mindfulness practices and seek continuous professional development to refine therapeutic skills in mindfulness approaches.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clientele consists of individuals facing a diverse range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, stress-related disorders, and emotional dysregulation. Serving the Palmdale community, you will work with clients from various backgrounds, emphasizing culturally competent care tailored to each person's unique circumstances. Your guidance will empower them to adopt mindfulness techniques as valuable tools for coping with life's challenges.

Qualifications
  • Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Valid licensure as an LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker), LPCC (Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor), or LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist) in California.
  • Competency in mindfulness practices and a strong passion for integrating these strategies into therapeutic modalities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, enabling the creation of a warm and welcoming environment for clients.
Preferred Experience
  • Prior training in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) or similar mindfulness modalities is preferred, strengthening your ability to implement effective mindfulness interventions.
  • A track record of facilitating group therapy sessions or workshops centered on mindfulness and stress management.
  • Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive mental health care.
Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this full-time position is $115,000 to $130,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance to support the health and wellness of our employees.
  • A retirement savings plan with employer-matching contributions to help you secure your financial future.
  • Generous paid time off (PTO) policies, allowing for a healthy work-life balance.
  • Opportunities for professional development and continuing education in mindfulness-based therapies.
  • A collaborative work atmosphere that encourages personal and professional growth.
Career Growth Opportunities

At MindWell Therapy Services, we prioritize the growth and evolution of our staff. We offer structured avenues for promotional advancement within the organization, opportunities to specialize in mindfulness techniques, and access to training that enhances your therapeutic practice. We believe that as our therapists evolve, so too does the quality of care we provide to our clients.
