In this crucial role, you will contribute to the mental and emotional wellness of individuals by delivering evidence-based mindfulness practices aimed at reducing stress and promoting personal growth. This is an excellent opportunity for a compassionate professional who thrives in a supportive and collaborative remote environment.

About the Organization

At MindWell Therapy Services, we are committed to fostering mental health and wellness through a holistic approach that emphasizes mindfulness-based interventions. Our telehealth platform allows us to reach clients across Berkeley, California, and beyond, enabling us to provide accessible mental health support in a convenient and effective manner. We believe in empowering individuals to achieve balance and fulfillment in their lives, and our therapists play a vital role in actualizing this mission.

Work Environment

This full-time position allows for a flexible work setting where you can provide therapy from the comfort of your home or preferred environment. You will interact with clients through our advanced telehealth platform, ensuring sessions are engaging and productive. The remote nature of the job supports a work-life balance, enabling you to incorporate your own mindfulness practices while encouraging clients to do the same.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive initial assessments to identify clients' unique stressors, challenges, and personal goals, forming the foundation for customized mindfulness interventions.
  • Facilitate individual therapy sessions, integrating mindfulness techniques, such as meditation and breathing exercises, to enhance emotional regulation and self-awareness for each client.
  • Lead engaging group workshops on resilience, stress management, and mindfulness practices, fostering a community of support and growth among participants.
  • Develop and maintain detailed documentation of client assessments, progress notes, treatment plans, and the efficacy of mindfulness-focused interventions.
  • Collaborate closely with fellow therapists and healthcare professionals to incorporate mindfulness as a core component of each client’s holistic treatment plan.
  • Regularly assess your personal mindfulness practices and engage in ongoing professional development in mindfulness, enhancing your skills and contributing to richer client interactions.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your clientele will include diverse individuals seeking support for a range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma-related conditions, and stress management. With a focus on mindfulness, you will guide clients in developing coping strategies and fostering resilience, helping them cultivate awareness to navigate life’s challenges more effectively.

Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in California.
  • Strong ability to integrate mindfulness practices into therapeutic interventions, enhancing client engagement and outcomes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven track record of creating a supporting therapeutic environment conducive to healing and growth.
Preferred Experience
  • Training or certification in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is highly desirable, though extensive experience in mindfulness techniques is preferred.
  • Previous telehealth therapy experience is a plus, as it prepares you for delivering services effectively in a remote setting.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Attractive salary range of $115,000 to $130,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
  • Comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, ensuring your personal health and well-being.
  • Retirement savings plan that includes employer-matching contributions, promoting a secure financial future.
  • Generous paid time off (PTO), holidays, and opportunities for professional development in mindfulness and related fields.
  • A supportive and collaborative work environment, encouraging continuous learning and personal growth.

There are ample opportunities for education and training in mindfulness-based approaches and other therapeutic methods to continuously enhance your clinical skills and knowledge. We encourage active participation in workshops and seminars, fostering your growth as a leader in the field.
