As a Security Officer Full Time Library Patrol in Raleigh, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. You will conduct routine rounds, respond to concerns, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at a government services location by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions, hazards, and unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and public areas; verify visitor access as directed; and maintain accurate logs, incident reports, and other required documentation.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and public agencies when needed.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, visitors, and staff while helping to maintain an orderly environment and support security-related operations.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
