Job description

The Clean Room Technician is responsible for cleaning, detailing, polishing, and packaging precision components in a controlled manufacturing environment. This role ensures parts meet strict dimensional, surface finish, and cleanliness requirements before final assembly or shipment. The technician uses hand tools, power tools, and material handling equipment to prepare components to specification and plays a key role in maintaining product quality. The Clean Room Technician also supports training of new technicians and follows established manufacturing, safety, and quality procedures.

Details: 

  • Type of Employment: Full-time
  • Location: Jefferson Hills, PA
  • Division/Department: Manufacturing/Machine Shop
  • Reports to: Clean & Detail Supervisor
  • Shifts: 1st & 2nd (Mon-Friday) available

Responsibilities:  

  • Clean, polish, and detail precision components to required surface finish and quality standards
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, work instructions, and routing documents
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and inspection tools to ensure dimensional accuracy and surface quality
  • Package, crate, and secure components per specifications and handling requirements
  • Operate material handling equipment, including carts, jib cranes, overhead cranes, and forklifts (as trained)
  • Enter labor and job data accurately in the timekeeping system
  • Maintain department supplies and support 5S/organizational standards
  • Follow company safety, quality, and workplace policies at all times
  • Assist with training and onboarding of new Clean Room Technicians
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications: 

Required 

  • Basic computer skills for timekeeping and work instructions
  • Ability to bend, stoop, squat, twist, and lift up to 60 lbs unassisted
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions

Preferred 

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience in a clean room, manufacturing, machine shop, or warehouse environment
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement principles
  • Forklift and/or crane experience
  • Hand tool and power tool experience
