About the Role

COSCO SHIPPING Lines (North America) is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented professional to join our Supply Chain (Drayage-focused) Procurement & Carrier Management team.

This role is responsible for sourcing, onboarding, and managing carrier/vendor relationships to support our growing drayage and supply chain operations. You will work closely with Pricing, Operations, Control Tower, and corporate teams to build and maintain a reliable, competitive, and compliant carrier network.


Key Responsibilities

  • Source, identify, and onboard new carriers and supply chain vendors
  • Partner with Pricing, Operations, Control Tower, and corporate teams to ensure seamless onboarding, rate setup, and compliance
  • Build and maintain a diversified, high-performing carrier network across key markets
  • Evaluate carrier performance across service reliability, cost, capacity, and compliance
  • Conduct regular vendor performance reviews and business reviews
  • Support rate benchmarking and procurement strategy aligned with market conditions
  • Negotiate carrier agreements, contracts, and rate structures
  • Ensure all vendors meet insurance, compliance, and contractual requirements
  • Maintain accurate system records and support data-driven decision-making


Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of experience in logistics, procurement, drayage, or supply chain vendor management
  • Strong understanding of drayage operations, carrier landscape, and market dynamics
  • Experience in vendor sourcing, onboarding, and performance evaluation
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and relationship management abilities
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Experience with TMS or procurement systems preferred
