Assistant Director of Crossroads – Crossroads Adult Care Facility- Full Time
Join the Rescue Mission Team!

Shift: Monday-Friday, 10:00am-6:30pm, On Call Duties.
Salary: $62,300.00 Annually.

At the Rescue Mission, our mission is to put love into action through food, shelter, clothing, and hope. We are seeking a compassionate, organized, and mission-driven Assistant Director of Crossroads Adult Home to help lead daily operations at Crossroads, a supportive residence for men with mental, physical, and developmental disabilities. This role is ideal for a dedicated leader who is passionate about serving vulnerable populations while ensuring quality care, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence.
 
Position Summary:
The Assistant Director of Crossroads Adult Home partners with the Director to oversee the day-to-day operations, quality of services, and regulatory compliance of the Crossroads program. This position helps ensure a safe, supportive, and well-staffed environment for residents while supporting and developing team members. The Assistant Director plays a key role in maintaining Department of Health compliance, coordinating operations, and fostering a culture that reflects the Rescue Mission's mission and values.  
 
What You'll Do:
Leadership & Staff Support:
  • Support, coach, and develop staff through training, guidance, and daily supervision.
  • Assist with staff scheduling, coverage coordination, and workforce planning.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to support after-hours and weekend emergencies.
  • Promote a collaborative, resident-centered team environment.

Operations & Compliance:
  • Maintain required Department of Health and funding source documentation.
  • Ensure resident records, emergency preparedness plans, and operational files remain current and compliant.
  • Coordinate monthly staff trainings and in-services.
  • Support safety initiatives, fire drills, disaster preparedness activities, and regulatory inspections.

Program & Resident Services:
  • Help ensure residents receive quality care in a safe and supportive environment.
  • Maintain professional boundaries and resident confidentiality.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and community partners to support resident needs.

Administrative Support:
  • Maintain inventories and order necessary supplies.
  • Monitor operational processes, maintenance requests, and facility needs.
  • Assist with bookkeeping tasks, petty cash reconciliation, purchasing requests, and related administrative functions.

Qualifications:
Required:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Services, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Ability to obtain Department of Health approval.
  • Valid New York State Driver's License meeting company driving requirements.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.

Preferred:
  • Previous supervisory or staff management experience.
  • Experience working with individuals experiencing homelessness, mental health challenges, developmental disabilities, substance use disorders, or other vulnerable populations.
  • Knowledge of local community resources and service providers.
