The West Virginia Department of Tourism seeks an individual to join our custodial team at the Culture Center. Responsibilities Performs routine manual work at the full performance level, cleaning in and around the Culture Center May be required to work evenings, weekends and holidays during events Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in an assigned area Other duties as assigned Examples of Work Dusts, cleans, polishes and waxes furniture, fixtures, woodwork and equipment Cleans restrooms and replenishes with supplies Sweeps, mops and polishes floors, stairs and corridors using a variety of equipment Cleans rugs and carpets with a variety of equipment Empties trash receptacles Desired Skills Knowledge of cleaning methods and procedures

Ability to understand and follow oral instructions. Ability to perform manual work. Ability to operate vacuum cleaners and buffers.

Ability to choose and use appropriate cleaning agents. This job opportunity is not a Civil Service position and is not covered under the Administrative Rule of the WV Division of Personnel. This position is located at the Capitol Complex in Charleston and requires a full-time work schedule during regular business hours.
