SUMMARY OF POSITION
Under the direction of the Fuels Crew Supervisor, the Fuels Crew Assistant Supervisor supports the mission of Forestry & Wildland Fire Management and the Hazardous Fuels Reduction program. The position serves as a working crew lead and assists with daily direction for thinning, piling, prescribed fire, mastication, herbicide, and related projects on or off the Hualapai Reservation. The position helps communicate assignments, monitor safe work practices, document accomplishments, and develop crew members through training and National Wildfire Coordinating Group qualifications. The position does not have independent authority to hire, discipline, evaluate, or terminate employees.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Support management goals and assist the Fuels Crew Supervisor with carrying out annual program intent, work plans, treatment priorities, and project schedules.

Assist with equipment, supplies, purchasing information, budget tracking, and reconciliation of assigned program accounts.
Maintain project records, daily accomplishment information, training documentation, and other required reports.
Comply with Tribal, federal, and applicable state policies and procedures.
Perform other duties assigned by the Fuels Crew Supervisor, Fire Management Officer, Forest Manager, or Director.
