Job description

Newcomer Funeral Service Group is seeking a Family Service Associate to serve families at Mount Hope Cemetery, one of Topeka's most historic and respected cemeteries. In this role, you'll help individuals and families make informed decisions about advance cemetery planning, ensuring their wishes are documented and their loved ones are spared difficult decisions in the future. Mount Hope's beautiful grounds and longstanding connection to the community provide a meaningful setting for helping families plan with confidence and peace of mind.
This is a relationship-focused role centered on pre-need cemetery planning. Successful Associates build connections within the community, educate families about their options, generate leads through company-provided resources and personal outreach, and help families create plans that reflect their values, wishes, and budget. The right candidate is compassionate, self-motivated, and comfortable building relationships that lead to meaningful conversations and lasting trust.


Qualifications

  • High school diploma required (associate degree or higher preferred)
  • Minimum of one year of experience in sales, service, or a related field
  • Strong communication skills with a respectful, peoplefocused approach
  • Organized, detailoriented, and comfortable using basic office and computer systems
  • Ability to manage multiple arrangements while ensuring accuracy and followthrough
  • Enjoys working with people and helping families select from a range of services and merchandise
