Work Environment

In this role, you will work remotely, maintaining a schedule of Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Our work culture emphasizes flexibility, teamwork, and open communication. Key Responsibilities

• Act as a liaison between families and outpatient providers to facilitate effective communication and continuous care.
• Engage with insurance companies to secure pre-certification and manage utilization for our clients' treatment plans.
• Contribute to discharge planning and aftercare strategies to ensure a smooth transition for clients exiting our services.
• Provide therapeutic meal support, guiding clients in developing a healthy relationship with food and encouraging mindful eating practices.
• Deliver empathic, affirming, and culturally competent care tailored to the unique circumstances and identities of each client.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The focus of this position is on working with students who are grappling with various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, and behavioral issues. You'll be instrumental in helping them navigate their personal experiences while supporting their ongoing social and emotional development within the academic environment.

Qualifications

• A relevant Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• A valid Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license in the state of New Jersey is mandatory.
• Experience in providing mental health services to adolescents is essential.
• Demonstrated clinical and diagnostic proficiency, with an emphasis on individualized treatment plans.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective interaction with clients, families, and stakeholders.
• A commitment to working both independently and collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in educational settings, particularly in special education or psychological services.
• Familiarity with various therapeutic models and interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy and trauma-informed care.
• Expertise in working with clients from diverse backgrounds and an understanding of cultural competence in mental health care.
