Job description

Join the Lab That’s Changing the Game in Diagnostics

At Radeas, we’re not your average clinical lab. We’re a team of curious minds and sharp thinkers who believe science should move fast—and do good. Every test we run helps a doctor make a faster, more informed decision. Every result helps a patient get the care they need. If you’re excited by innovation, accuracy, and working on the front lines of healthcare diagnostics, you’ll love what we’re building.

Laboratory Support Technician

Wake Forest, NC | Full-Time | $20.00/hour (Eligible for P4P Bonus System after 90 days)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm (Some evenings/weekends & overtime as needed)

What You’ll Do

This isn’t just another lab job. You’ll support high-impact lab operations, keep cutting-edge equipment running smoothly, and help process life-critical samples—all under the guidance of experienced clinical scientists.

Your day-to-day will include:

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Preparing and processing human specimens (urine/oral fluid) for LC-MS/MS
  • Assisting with laboratory tests of varying complexity using standard procedures on human specimens for the purpose of providing information for the diagnosis, prevention, or treatment of disease
  • Analyzing test or experiment results to ensure conformity to specifications using special mechanical or electrical devices
  • Setting up, maintaining, calibrating, cleaning, and testing sterility of medical laboratory equipment
  • Running proficiency testing samples on equipment per SOPs (as applicable)
  • Assisting with CLIA-waived testing
  • Maintaining laboratory records and inventory for supplies and reagents; notifying appropriate staff when inventory is low
  • Assisting with troubleshooting equipment problems and coordinating service as necessary (with guidance); documenting all equipment maintenance, both routine and troubleshooting
  • Maintaining a clean and sanitary workstation and lab environment
  • Remaining up-to-date and compliant on all required and assigned training related to laboratory safety, testing procedures, and equipment maintenance
  • Supporting special projects and other duties as assigned by the supervisor
  • Following laboratory procedures for sample management, test analyses, quality control, reporting, and maintaining records of patient test results, compliance, and documentation/testing of proficiency testing samples

This is not an exhaustive list of all duties and responsibilities, but rather a general description of the work performed by this position.

What You Bring

We’re looking for someone detail-driven, reliable, and excited about lab science. If you’ve got the right foundation, we’ll train you on the rest.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Required: Bachelor's degree in one of the following disciplines: Biology, Chemistry, Toxicology, Clinical Chemistry, or a relatable Life Science
  • Transcripts are required for Compliance review
  • Prior experience in a clinical/toxicology lab
  • Familiarity with prescription drug monitoring or SAMHSA protocols
  • Experience reviewing analytical data and running QC

Important Note About Work Schedule

Please note: This is a volume-dependent role, and daily workload can fluctuate based on the arrival times of specimens via UPS and FedEx. While we strive to maintain a balanced work schedule, there may be days or weeks when higher sample volumes require extended work hours, including evenings and weekends. Flexibility and a willingness to adapt to changing demands are essential for success in this position.
