Are you a master storyteller who loves both the creative spark of editing and the satisfying order of a perfectly organized media library? Living on the Edge is seeking a full-time Video Content Editor & Media Archivist to join our Marketing team.

The ministry role of the Video Content Editor & Media Archivist is to be the architect and guardian of our historical video assets, while simultaneously shaping the future of our visual storytelling. This role will collaborate closely with producers and the Art Director to script, edit, and deliver compelling video content for social media, websites, commercial spots, and our global ministry initiatives.

Reports To: Art Director, Marketing Department

Position Status: Full-time w/ Benefits

Location: Colorado Springs, CO (Hybrid: In-Office/Remote)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

1. Media Architecture & Asset Management (The Archivist)

  • Build & Protect:
Design, architect, and maintain a robust, scalable library of historical video footage, B-roll, and creative assets.
  • System Redundancy:
Establish and oversee strict data backup, cloud storage, and redundancy protocols to ensure zero asset loss.
  • Growth & Maintenance:
Implement intuitive tagging, metadata tagging, and organization systems so the creative team can easily access assets as the library grows.

2. Video Editing & Content Creation (The Creator)

  • Multi-Platform Editing:
Craft engaging video content tailored for social media (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube), website B-roll, commercial ads, and ministry impact stories.
  • Scripting & Conception:
Collaboratively brainstorm and script creative content ideas, taking them from a blank page all the way through to final completion.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work smoothly under producer oversight, integrating pre-produced elements and aligning with overarching campaign goals.
  • Global Ministry Support:
Partner with both our domestic and international ministry efforts to highlight global impact through compelling visual narratives.

3. Distribution & Technical Innovation (The Tech Specialist)

  • Platform Delivery:
Manage the technical upload and optimization of video production content across digital platforms (YouTube, Google, Facebook, Instagram, and various third-party platforms).
  • Continuous Learning:
Stay on the cutting edge of video production solutions, AI tools, and distribution technology through ongoing education and research.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience:
3+ years of professional video editing experience, preferably with a portfolio demonstrating diverse storytelling styles (short-form social, long-form narrative, commercial).
  • Software Mastery:
High proficiency in major video editing suites (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut Pro).
  • Technical Mindset:
Proven experience or deep understanding of media asset management (MAM) systems, server architecture, and data redundancy strategies.
  • Collaboration & Culture:
Ability to take constructive feedback from producers and the Art Director, transforming notes into creative solutions. Strong alignment with the mission and values of Living on the Edge is required.
  • Location requirement:
Ability to work a hybrid schedule, splitting time between working from home and collaborating in-person at our Colorado Springs office.

What We Offer

  • Competitive full-time salary and benefits package.
  • A collaborative, faith-driven team environment.
  • Hybrid work flexibility.
  • Budget and support for ongoing professional development and continuing education.

Values:  Must be willing to embrace Living on the Edge’s employee values as a Christian ministry:

  • Live it out: Spiritually mature individual involved in a Christian church and committed to becoming a mature, authentic disciple of Jesus Christ (see Romans, chapter 12).
  • Own Your Stuff: High desire for excellence in serving others and capability in leading the business functions of the ministry; additionally, humble and willing to admit mistakes and “own” errors of judgment or decisions regardless of consequences.  We are a no excuse/no finger pointing organization.
  • Think Team: Team oriented, not a solo worker.  Must have an interest and ability to integrate into a collaborative team atmosphere.
  • Everybody Matters & Everything Belongs to God: We serve other people not ourselves. We are stewards of what God has given us.  Must have an “It’s not about me,” attitude.
  • Alignment with Living on the Edge’s statement of faith.
