Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Educational Interpreter – Green Bay, WI | 2026–2027 School Year

Location: Green Bay, Wisconsin
Schedule: Full-Time, 39 Weeks (August–June)
Setting: In-Person
Pay Rate: $40/hour

We are seeking a Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Educational Interpreter to support students in a school-based setting for the 2026–2027 school year. This position plays a critical role in providing access to instruction and facilitating communication for students who are deaf or hard of hearing across both academic and extracurricular environments. School placement and daily schedules will be determined based on student needs and may include providing support during transportation services.

Qualifications
  • Wisconsin DPI Educational Interpreter License required
  • One of the following:
    • At least 48 college credit hours from an accredited institution, or
    • Associate's degree or higher, or
    • Successful completion of a state-approved paraprofessional assessment
  • Previous experience working with children preferred
  • Dual certification for educational and community interpreting preferred
Responsibilities
  • Provide interpreting and communication support for students who are deaf or hard of hearing
  • Facilitate access to classroom instruction, school activities, and special events
  • Collaborate with teachers, service providers, and school staff to support student success
  • Participate in IEP meetings, staff meetings, and professional development activities
  • Prepare for classroom instruction by reviewing materials and specialized vocabulary
  • Support implementation of accommodations and modifications outlined in student IEPs
  • Assist students in developing academic, communication, and social skills
  • Maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment
