Job description

The Excellerate Continuous Improvement Manager will be instrumental in creating a metrics driven, Continuous Improvement culture based on Lean Principles. The position will design, develop, lead, facilitate, monitor and report on CI initiatives. The role will focus on standardizing CI activities across all facilities and act as a mentor for creating future CI leaders within the organization.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education:Bachelor Degree in Manufacturing/ Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or business related field

Experience:10 plus years experience implementing and sustaining lean strategies and CI in a manufacturing environment with high-mix / low volume production

Travel: 10-25%

Work Schedule: This position works between the hours of 7 AM and 5 PM, Monday- Friday. Works a sufficient schedule to meet the expectations of the role.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Act as the technical expert in Lean Manufacturing tools and principles including 5S, Visual Management, Standard Work, Value Stream Mapping / Process Mapping, Kaizen, A3, Root Cause Analysis and Mistake Proofing.
  • Create and update the CI Plan to develop and promote a Continuous Improvement culture within Excellerate.
  • Organize, lead and maintain Excellerate-wide Continuous Improvement activities.
  • Work with all facilities and departments to identify and quantify potential opportunities for improvement and implement solutions that deliver measurable results.
  • Develop education materials to deploy throughout the organization to train the organization in Continuous Improvement methodologies and tools.
  • Provide coaching through hands-on facilitation and demonstration of the use of Lean tools.
  • Create meaningful metrics and mechanism to track Operational Excellence progress through monthly scorecard updates.
  • Build trust within organization through direct engagement, problem solving, and building relationships.
  • Support Excellerate Process Development activities through facilitation of Process Flow and Process Mapping activities and act as a mentor to train others to lead in the future.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
