Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Continuous Improvement Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining systems to enable continuous improvement, customer satisfaction, and the maximization of value through Lean Manufacturing. The Continuous Improvement Manager will interact with and support all value streams in order to accomplish ongoing successful implementation of Lean Manufacturing and Daily Continuous Improvement.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform sensi duties for improvement activities. Develop, coach, and mentor project and event team leaders.
  • Develop, coach, and mentor continuous improvement team members and assist in prioritizing their improvement activities.
  • Conduct training as required to support improvement activities, team member lean skills development and product knowledge.
  • Facilitate 6S training and improvement activities and monitor 6S status throughout the facility.
  • Back up for monthly regular project and event follow up meetings to allow leaders to report on their improvement activity progress.
  • Assess lean skills development company wide and recommend areas for improvement.
  • Assess facility lean progress and recommend improvements.
  • Sponsor idea system and facilitate tracking and reporting system metrics. Coach and train value stream team members.
  • Serve as backup to the Safety/Training Manager for Environmental Management System (EMS) responsibilities.
  • Measurement Business System champion.
  • Perform other additional duties as required and as directed by the Manufacturing Value Stream Leader.

Qualifications:
  • An associate's degree in a business-related curriculum or the equivalence of four years of experience in a similar capacity to manufacturing or four years of manufacturing experience.
  • A four-year degree in Business, Management, or related field preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in Lean Manufacturing in a manufacturing environment.

Physical Demands:
  • Ability to move throughout a manufacturing environment, including production, warehouse, and office areas.
  • The employee may be required to travel occasionally. Travel may involve overnight stays/air travel/driving a vehicle.
  • Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions required by this role.
