We are currently seeking an experienced Construction Coordinator to support telecommunications and fiber optic construction projects throughout the Sacramento market. This position plays a critical role in supporting field operations, project managers, construction supervisors, customers, subcontractors, and utility partners to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

This is an excellent opportunity for an organized and detail-oriented professional with experience in telecommunications construction, OSP projects, broadband infrastructure, permitting, project coordination, and construction administration.

Position Summary

The Construction Coordinator is responsible for supporting the day-to-day administrative and operational functions of telecommunications construction projects. This position will coordinate project documentation, permitting, scheduling, material procurement, reporting, customer communications, and project tracking activities while ensuring projects remain organized and compliant throughout the project lifecycle.

The ideal candidate will have experience supporting OSP fiber optic construction projects and possess strong organizational, communication, and project coordination skills.

Project Coordination & Administration

  • Support Project Managers and Construction Managers with daily project activities
  • Coordinate project schedules, milestones, and construction activities
  • Maintain project documentation, reports, permits, contracts, and change orders
  • Track project status and ensure project records remain current and accurate
  • Assist with customer reporting and project updates
  • Support closeout documentation and as-built records

Permitting & Compliance

  • Process permits, utility notifications, and project documentation
  • Coordinate with municipalities, utilities, and permitting agencies
  • Track permit status and project compliance requirements
  • Ensure project files meet customer and regulatory requirements
  • Support safety documentation and compliance reporting

Material & Resource Coordination

  • Assist with procurement of construction materials and supplies
  • Coordinate deliveries and material staging activities
  • Track material usage and inventory reporting
  • Support resource planning and workforce scheduling
  • Communicate with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors

Customer & Team Support

  • Serve as a communication liaison between field teams, customers, subcontractors, and project leadership
  • Support customer meetings and project review activities
  • Resolve administrative issues impacting project schedules
  • Provide exceptional customer service and professional communication
  • Support multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of construction coordination, project coordination, or construction administration supporting telecommunications, fiber optic, utility, or OSP construction projects
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Telecommunications or OSP construction experience
  • Experience supporting AT&T, Comcast, Charter, Cox, Verizon, or similar service providers
  • Knowledge of fiber optic construction, utility coordination, and broadband infrastructure
  • Experience with construction management software and project tracking systems
  • Associate degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field
  • Bilingual English and Spanish
