Job description

Overview:
Job Title: Sr. Application Support Engineer
Location: Boston, TX
Responsibilities:
  • Provide L2/L3 application support for business-critical systems.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues within SLAs.
  • Perform incident, problem, and change management using tools like ServiceNow/JIRA.
  • Analyze recurring issues, drive root cause analysis (RCA), and implement permanent fixes.
  • Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and business teams for defect resolution and enhancements.
  • Support deployments, upgrades, and patching activities in production and non-production environments.
  • Maintain documentation, knowledge base, and standard operating procedures.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.

Requirements:
  • 5-8 years in application support / production support.
  • Strong skills in SQL, Linux/Unix, scripting (Shell/Python).
  • Hands-on with monitoring/logging tools (Splunk, AppDynamics, Dynatrace, ELK, etc.).
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes (incident, problem, change).
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools (Git, Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines) preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
